iPhone photography workshop for people of determination

Alanood Mubarak recently had the privilege of leading a unique iPhone photography workshop for a group of people of determination from the hearing-impaired community.

It was a profoundly different experience, one that challenged me as a photographer and deeply inspired me on a human level.

Communicating with them required a heightened sensitivity, but what I found in their eyes was a passion for photography as powerful as any professional's.

This experience reaffirmed a belief I hold dear: the language of visuals can transcend all barriers. Passion isn’t defined by our senses,it’s driven by will.

Throughout the session, Alanood focused on teaching the essentials of mobile photography using the iPhone. From mastering angles and lighting to composing powerful shots, the workshop emphasized that a phone camera is no less capable of creating compelling images than a traditional DSLR,when paired with the right vision and understanding.

Workshops like these reminded Alanood why she love sharing photography knowledge, whether with beginners or professionals. A great image doesn’t rely solely on equipment, it’s about the eye that sees and the heart behind the lens.
