Apple Photowalk at teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi with Peter Jay | iPhone Photography Tips

This project involved leading an official Apple Photowalk at teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi in the Saadiyat Cultural District. The immersive exhibition posed unique challenges for mobile photography, such as dynamic lighting and low visibility. I guided participants through creative techniques using iPhone cameras, including mastering Night Mode, adjusting frame rates to reduce flicker, and utilizing the grid and level tools for perfect framing. The session focused on helping attendees capture artistic and technically strong images in a highly interactive, visually complex environment.

Recently, I had the chance to lead an Apple Photowalk inside teamLab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, located in the heart of Saadiyat Cultural District. This mind-blowing exhibition by the world-renowned art collective teamLab explores the delicate balance between nature, technology, and the human experience through interactive digital installations.

The immersive environment challenges even seasoned photographers, especially with its dynamic lighting, motion-based visuals, and dark spaces. So, during the photowalk, I shared iPhone photography techniques that help creators capture beautiful, balanced shots in complex lighting conditions.

Top iPhone Photography Tips for teamLab Abu Dhabi:

  1. Enable the Grid & Level – For precise framing in rooms without a clear horizon.
  2. Fix Screen Flicker – Adjust your frame rate when filming to avoid flickering lights.
  3. Master Night Mode – Control exposure time to avoid motion blur and capture clean, dramatic low-light shots.

Whether you’re a content creator or casual visitor, these tips will help you make the most out of your iPhone camera when exploring the space.
